PTAP2203 : Patient Care Skills II

This course expands upon foundational patient care skills with an emphasis on physical agents, pain management, integumentary considerations, and assistive technologies used in rehabilitation. Students explore the principles, indications, and precautions of modalities, orthotics, and mechanical devices, along with concepts of tissue healing and edema management. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning, patient safety, and monitoring patient response to interventions within the physical therapist assistant scope of practice.
